Gov Barber has supported legislation guaranteeing Mexican labor more pay than American workers doing the same job. He has also supported the denial of unemployment compensation to farm workers and has shown a propensity for vetoing any legislation that he thinks will help Afro-Americans even at the expense of the white majority.
