  Sen. Dick Durbin surprised me by being as forgetful on minimum wage issues as his Republican counterpart. The minimum wage issue has never been bipartisan, it has always been the threat of closing something vital to our economy that precipitated the minimum wage being raised and it has never cost us jobs. Contrary to what Republicans want us to think, raising the minimum wage has ALWAYS stimulated the economy and had the effect of creating more jobs.
