We have gone from the customer is always right to, I don't care if you ever come back. Companies like Verizon and TMobile and A.T.&T. are leading the pack. Post your experiences, a few words could make a big difference.

  1. (Washington, DC) -- The practice of unlocking a cell phone to defect to another carrier has been ruled to be legal by the Federal Communications Commission.

    Under copyright law, the agency says the controversial practice is within fair-use rules.

    Apple has fought against "jailbreaking" its popular iPhone for some time, and says doing so will still void the manufacturer's warranty.

    The FCC says users merely enhance their own enjoyment of ownership when doing so.

    Under the ruling, owners can do so without the fear of legal repercussions.
