Black people didn't just wake up one morning say I'm going to be a Democrat.. They made the choice with their eyes fully open and supported the party that showed the most promise in defending their civil rights. There was and is still racism in both party's. A major point missing from this article is that the Republican party still has not dealt with the racism in it's party or the needs of black people to have an equal opportunity to be all that they can be.Reply
