The Payroll Tax Cut Bill is a Waste of Time, Effort and Money

Bravo to S.L. Carroll for the article on The Payroll Tax Cut Bill. Allowing it to die will do more to help the people and the economy and is the only sensible thing to do.

Tax Cuts

I see this as a win win for Democrats and the economy. The tax cuts will do very little for the individual , but will be seen as a tax increase caused by the Republican Party and a reduction in spending by the Democratic Party. Bottom line, a negligible physical impact on the deficit, but a huge political impact for the Republican Party. The Republican Party is making Obama look better and better. Go Republicans.

50 Facts

If when Barack Obama first took office the national debt was 10.6 trillion dollars and on a downward spiral as indicated by the 50 Facts, then Barack Obama has done a miraculous job of slowing down the downward spiral with just a 4.4 trillion dollar investment. After all, when Bush took office the national debt had a surplus of trillions of dollars. Is your memory and intelligence so short that you cannot see that Bush was laughing all the way to the bank while calling you and all his supporters suckers. Keep blaming Obama and put another Bush in office.

X-Factor 12-08-2011

The blame should be spread around to three of the four judges; L.A. Reid for not having the moral conviction to vote for the best, Nicole for being to much of a wimp to vote her choice, and Simon for allowing the songs that Rachel sang last night. Nicole wanted to vote for Rachel, but for some unknown reason she voted for Marcus. Simon made the decision before last night's performance that he wanted Melanie Amaro to win the X-Factor. Although I think Melanie Amaro is the best contestant on X-Factor, Rachel should not have been thrown under the bus. She is much more talented than Marcus. These are some of the reasons for my post last week. If X-Factor returns for a second season, the judges should only judge and not have any ties to the contestants.

X Factor Top 7 Results:

X Factor Top 7 Results: An Astronomical Double Elimination "For the judges to pick songs for the contestants puts the judges in a position where they can influence the outcome of the contest. That should not be allowed. Simon rightfully took the blame for Drew's departure, but his lapse in judgement was minor when compared to Nicole and Paula Abdul's very very poor selection of songs. I hope that I'm only imagining that the poor song selections are intended to influence the outcome. The judges should take a step back and allow the contestants to choose a producer from a pool of producers. The producer picked by the contestant should have a vested interest in that contestant winning." 2 more replies chris replied, "American Idol is right around the corner........." One of the judges gives the perception of color discrimination. I have been impressed when a judge votes for another judges' contestant.... you know what "I am NOT at all impressed" with the whole set up of the show. Something just doesn't feel right/or jells right. This mentor thing, is "let me mold you" into what I think will sell, and the hell with who you are....." More>>

As an American that happens to be an African-American that believes our democratic principles are best served by the Democratic party, I was proud to support Barrack Obama as our first African-American President. To fellow Democrats and especially to my African-American Brothers, it's time look at the facts. Barrack Obama has conceded at every turn and given the advantage to the Republicans. I have said over and over that Obama is a closet Republican. A Republican President could not have advanced the Republican agenda as effectively as Barrack Obama has. A Republican posing as a Democratic president would be able to swing enough votes from the Democrats to pass most Republican agendas.

Punked again

President Barack Obama just got punked again by Boehner. It appears as if Obama is either afraid to stand up and act like a President or he doesn't know that he is the President of the United States of America.

As am African American

As am African American, I was quick to jump on the band wagon in support of Barrack Obama. Now in hind sight, I see that we as black people should have reserved our energy for a black President that reflects our American values. Barrack Obama was raised in countries that do not respect individual freedoms or individuals and I believe that is why he is insensitive to individual freedoms. I support health care reform, but I strongly object to the mandate requiring individuals to purchase health insurance. It's an assault on our personal freedoms and constitutional guarantees.
As a democrat and an Afro-American that loves America, I support the republican challenge to the individual mandate and I applaud the appeals court that struck it down. That one gesture on the part of republicans is the only meaningful thing that they have done and will have to be followed by ways to improve the health care legislation.
Simply put, because the republicans have been missing in action, and if no democrat challenges Barrack Obama, I will reluctantly vote for him again.
