Just The Facts

The TSA became the biggest joke to terrorist throughout the world when they allowed pilots, and now flight attendants to bypass security. Not only did the TSA put the public in greater danger, their new policy put pilots, flight attendants and their family’s in greater danger.
Terrorist have refined the policy of recruiting suicide bombers and not all suicide bombers were willing participants or believed in the terrorist agenda. The TSA has made pilots and flight attendants prime targets for terrorist recruitment.

My Question For The Day Is?

Can President Obama recover from the midterm elections and be effective in achieving his pre-election goals?

Just The Facts

What the Midterm Vote Meant To Me.
The turn out for Republican candidates said to me that the Republicans are satisfied with high unemployment, a high national debt and the country being on the verge of bankruptcy.
The absence of Democrats at the polls means that Democrats are satisfied with the direction of the Obama administration. Their complacency cost them and buried the Obama platform that they voted for in 2008.
One insignificant factor affecting the way people (Black and White) view President Obama has to do with the “super” syndrome. A working mother has to be super at both her job and raising her family in order to be considered a good mother. A black athlete or musician has to be twice as good as the best white athlete or musician in order to be considered good enough. Although President Obama is the best President that we have had in the last 40 years, he has not engendered the term “super”. I think that, if President Obama had stuck to his guns on health care and other issues instead of following his staff into a trap laid out by the Republicans, the political landscape would be much different. The Republicans demanded and got concessions that were designed to be used against the Democrats in the midterm elections. With “Shaft” Super Bad was an advertising ploy to sell movies to Black people, but President Obama has to earn all accolades by being better than the super moms, black athletes, black musicians, actors and actresses.

Just The Facts

Boehner and the Republican Party is using tax cuts for the wealthiest to confuse the voters in an attempt at demonizing the Democrats.
Think about it. The wealthiest Americans are not the ones doing the hiring. Those few that could benefit if they had any tax liability, like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs and other owners of companies are benefiting from employer subsidies that far exceed the Bush era tax cuts.
How much is enough? It's human nature to want more, but if more is only cosmetic and puts less money in your pocket why would you want it? The bigger question is, who is asking for it?
Voice your opinion.

My question for the day is:

Do you blame President Obama for not having enough votes to pass his agenda over the just say no policy of the Republicans?

Just The Facts

When President Obama took office on January 20, 2009, the unemployment rate was 8.1 percent up 3.3 points from a low of 4.8 in January of 2008. The unemployment rate continued to climb under the Republican administration until it peaked at 10.2 percent in October of 2009, eight months into Obama administration. Since October of 2009, the unemployment rate has been trending downward from the high of 10.2 percent to 9.6 percent.
It took the Obama administration eight months to correct eight years of Republican bad policy. The job of reversing losses caused by the Republicans bad policy is well under way, but we need you to support your Democratic Congressmen and Senators with your votes to finalize this recovery.

My question for the day is:

Do you believe that under the Democratic Administration of President Obama, we will wipe out the deficit and return to the prosperity that was attained under the Clinton Administration?

Just The Facts

The Federal Budget Deficit for 2010—Nearly $1.3 Trillion
Thursday, October 7th, 2010 by Douglas Elmendorf

The federal government’s fiscal year 2010 has come to a close, and CBO estimates, in its latest Monthly Budget Review, that the federal budget deficit for the year was slightly less than $1.3 trillion, $125 billion less than the shortfall recorded in 2009. Relative to the size of the economy, the 2010 deficit was the second-highest shortfall—and 2009 the highest—since 1945. The 2010 deficit was equal to 8.9 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), CBO estimates, down from 10.0 percent in 2009 (based on the most current estimate of GDP). CBO’s deficit estimate is based on data from the Daily Treasury Statements and CBO’s projections; the Treasury Department will report the actual deficit for fiscal year 2010 later this month.

The estimated deficit is about $50 billion less than CBO projected in its August Budget and Economic Outlook. Outlays turned out to be lower and revenues higher than CBO anticipated.

Just The Facts

The [Democrats] / [Republicans] are driving the nation toward insolvency. They both are, and in more or less equal measure. In 2001, when George W. Bush took office and Republicans controlled Congress, the budget was essentially balanced and the total national debt was about $5.8 trillion. Washington has run an annual deficit every year since. Over Bush's first six years, when Republicans controlled the White House and Congress, the debt rose by about $3.2 trillion. Over the last two years of the Bush administration, when Democrats controlled Congress, the debt rose by another $2.9 trillion. So over the eight-year Bush administration, the debt more than doubled, rising by a total of $6.1 trillion.
Obama, in his first two years, has added about $3.2 trillion more to the national debt. There are plenty of caveats. The pace of debt expansion under Obama is obviously faster, but that's due to the stimulus and to a shrinking economy that still hasn't regained all the ground lost since the recession began in late 2007. And both presidents passed programs with costs still to be tallied in the future. Still, any politician charging the other party with excessive spending could--and should!--level the same accusation at his own party. Republicans and Democrats alike are addicted to spending money they don't have.
Rick Newman, On Friday October 22, 2010, 10:11 am EDT

Just The Facts

Rick Newman, On Friday October 22, 2010, 10:11 am EDT
If the goal of the stimulus plan was to reverse the worst recession in 75 years by the time of the next election, then sure, it was a failure. But most mainstream economists believe the stimulus helped end the recession months, and perhaps years, sooner that it would have ended on its own. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office says the stimulus plan added significantly to GDP growth and boosted employment by somewhere between 1.4 million and 3.3 million jobs. The problem for Democrats is they made foolish predictions about how the stimulus plan would save the economy, saying, for instance, that unemployment would top out at 8 percent in 2009 and be falling consistently by now. So they set themselves up for failure by creating unrealistic expectations. Economically, however, the stimulus plan was a modest success, and looking back it's not clear that any other ideas at the time would have worked better. The reason the economy still stinks is that we just endured a violent recession plus a financial panic, and a thoroughly trashed economy doesn't heal on a convenient political time-line.

End tax breaks to stop overseas hiring

WASHINGTON – End tax breaks that reward some U.S. companies with overseas subsidiaries and encourage those businesses to create jobs in other countries, President Barack Obama is telling Congress.
Yet it's an idea that has raised concerns even among some lawmakers in the president's own party.
At issue is a bill, now stalled in the Senate, that would do away with some tax credits and deferrals for U.S. companies for operations abroad.
"There is no reason why our tax code should actively reward them for creating jobs overseas," Obama said in his weekly radio and Internetaddress Saturday. "Instead, we should be using our tax dollars to reward companies that create jobs and businesses within our borders."
Though Obama singled out Republican opposition, the bill also failed to get support from some Democrats, including the chairman of theSenate Finance Committee, Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont. He has expressed concern that the change would put the U.S. at a competitive disadvantage.
The ending of the tax provisions has run into opposition from business groups, including the National Association of Manufacturers.
Obama said that while companies that conduct business internationally do make an important contribution to the U.S. economy, it doesn't make sense to grant them tax breaks when companies at home are struggling to rebound from the economic crisis.
Obama has said he wants revenue collected from ending the tax provisions to go to other business tax breaks, by making permanent research and development tax credits and allowing businesses next year to write off all new equipment costs.
In the GOP address, Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind., urged House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., to call Congress back into session to take an immediate vote on whether to extendBush-era tax cuts.
"The prosperity of the American people is more important than the political fortunes of any politician or any political party," Pence said.
Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., have said the tax issue will be taken up after the Nov. 2 election.

Economics of A Crumbling Infrastructure

Repairing and upgrading our infrastructure is a time tested and proven method to turn around an economic recession or depression. The reason that it works is, it provides jobs with a long enough duration to both boost and substain the economy while workers are being retrained to meet the current and future job demands. House Minority Leader John Boehner objected to President Obama's infrastructure plans because he knows that it will work and he does not want the Democrats to get credit for cleaning up the mess left by the Bush administration.

After Market Warranty's.

Beware of automotive after market warranty's. The warranty insurance is usually through a company unrelated to the company from which the warranty is purchased. An example is US Fidelis (now in bankruptcy proceedings). If you have any sugestions that can help the victums of US Fidelis and other after market warranty company's post your comments on http://luvastor.blogspot.com. or email me at www.iamjonymor@gmail.com

The Stimulus Bill, A Historical First

The Stimulus Bill passed by the Obama administration will be remembered as the first Stimulus Bill to return a monetary profit and accomplish it's intended goals.
This is a historical first and sets a precedence that will be followed by succeeding administrations. President Obama's accomplishment will rank him among the best of American Presidents and the attempts by Republicans and the racist elements of this country to derail his programs will not alter what he has accomplished.
If we revive the “Yes We Can” spirit and pick up two more congressional seats, then President Obama can accomplish all that he promised.

After market Warranty's

Because my car was getting up in age, I purchased an extended warranty at 92,877
miles on a 2000 Daewoo, February of 2009. Never had a serious problem with car,
always maintained the necessities, oil, brakes, fluids, tires, alignments, check for worn
hoses, wires, etc.. NO PROBLEM. At 107,000 miles timing belt broke. NOW THE
GOOD STUFF> COVERAGE!! My timing BELT broke, and because my coverage
says timing chain and timing gears, my coverage is NO GOOD. This broke belt
probably caused other damage in the engine, which causes me to need another
engine to be installed. BEWARE, READ YOUR WARRANTY FOR COVERAGE!!!
My contract says all lubricated parts of the engine, who knew the belt was not a
lubricated part, I would think the belt needed lubrication to keep running smooth??
So why is it not covered? EVERYONE, re-read your warranty contract and call for
questions, you may want to cancel it..
I have addition comments, but got to go.

A Short Expose

My problems are tiny in comparison to President Obama's, but the trend is similar. A series of small lies or untrue statements can rip apart an agenda, a person and even the President of the United States of America. There has been so many events that I can relate to you, but because of space and future plans I will limit my story.
This chapter began in 1965 at Milling ton Naval Avionics School. I began ASW school as an E4 Air Anti-Submarine Warfare Tech. Because of my rank, race and fleet experience, two white sailors complained to me that they were being pressured into joining the KKK. I took their complaints to the school commander because it was my duty to expose an organization that required you to swear allegiance to it. It was a serious violation of the UCMJ to swear allegiance to any organization while serving in any branch of the US Military.
Because of my diligence in trying to help the two sailors, I was black listed and sent to an ASW squadron in which the executive officer was the top KKK person for the San Diego area. He made my service in VHS 35 a living hell.
The part that I relate to President Obama is all the small lies and untruths that he put in my service jacket, just as the Republican party is telling small lies and ignoring the truth about Obama, and his agenda. The tactic is the same, but I'm hoping that the voters will see beyond the obvious and read between the lines and realize what the Republican Party is trying to do.
My case ended with a military court martial on false charges, and the murder of two Naval Officers the day before my court martial that were going to testify that the the executive officer (now commanding officer) was the lead man for the KKK in San Diego and that the charges against me were false.
It is a very simple matter to adjust an altimeter to reflect 25 feet underground as being the surface and during an instrument landing, it would be enough to cause an accident. The Officer from Warren, MI that died in the accident would sneak in to my barracks after midnight to talk to me and assure me that he and his co-pilot would be at my court martial. I have tried to shield his family from the aggravation of knowing that their loved one did not die in an accident as the Navy claimed, but died trying to defend me and the honor of the U.S. Navy.
The safeguards that the UCMJ affords a defendant that believes that the decision will be prejudiced if decided by his command were ignored, so when I requested that I be tried by another command, I was transported to another base and in violation of the UCMJ, unauthorized officers sat on the board and issued judgment.
My service record was not pristine, but I loved the military and serving my country and but not for the power of the KKK in the U.S. Navy, I could have easily put in 30 years. President Obama loves this country and is dedicated to serving all of the people do not turn your backs on him because of small lies and untruths. I hope this small expose gives you reason to think and hope for a better tomorrow.

Obama and the Middle or Working Class

Why is Obama fighting for the middle class?
My percentages are not exact, so don't quote me on them.
The rich compose about 10% of the population.
The poor compose about 25% of the population (and growing at the expense of the middle class).
That leaves about 75% for the middle or working class.
The rich obtained and maintain their wealth by leveraging the wealth of the middle or working class.
The middle or working class support and maintain the poor.
When it comes to charitable donations, the middle class will provide a full meal and in most cases will not be able to take a tax deduction, whereas the rich will donate a 5 cent cookie and a 10 cent scoop of ice cream, take a $50 tax write off along with the profits from the prescription drugs needed to treat the cholesterol and high blood pressure caused by the 5 cent cookie and 10 cent ice cream scoop.
The rich are not complaining about Obama's tax policy's because they know that their wealth is dependent on the middle class and without the middle class the poor would be without the charitable organizations that they need to survive.
The previous eight years of Republican control stripped away all the gains that were made under the Clinton Presidency. If we give Congressional control to the Republicans they will resume stripping away at the gains and wealth of this country, increasing the gap between rich and middle or working class Americans.
Obama is fighting for the middle class to protect our way of life and save the country from an economic colaspe causes by eight years of Republican leadership.

The Old HUD

http://www.luvastor.blogspot.comWhen my parents brought their house from HUD, it was a straight forward deal that was not corrupted by Real Estate Brokers. That was 50 years ago. Fannie Mae needs to return to the old way of selling the houses that it has accumulated.
The current method of disposing of the homes accumulated when the bottom dropped out of the housing market is unnecessarily expensive to the country and Fannie Mae. It's not working because Fannie Mae has made it more profitable for the Real Estate companies to sit on the houses than to sell the houses.
In to many cases the expense vouchers submitted to Fannie Mae for the maintenance and utilities is more than the sales commission. I have tried to contact Real Estate Brokers for information on purchasing some of the properties with a low listing price and the Brokers will not return calls and in most cases the calls are not answered.
If Fannie Mae would allow direct purchases without requiring that a purchaser go through a broker, it could remove most of the corruption, rid itself of most of the properties, maintenance and utility expenses and the bad reputation that it has acquired.

TARP, GOOD OR BAD?

Republicans were shouting that President Obama made a bad decision in supporting TARP, they said that TARP would increase the deficit, and that Obama is bad for the country. TARP had become a rallying point for John Boehner & company, but now that the true figures have been released showing that not only is TARP making money, it will repay some of the money that Bush gave away. This topic has become an embarrassment to the Republicans so they have quietly slithered away from the topic, hopping that it will not be brought up again.  See Treasury Gets $16 Billion By Rebecca Christie September 9, 2010 7:00 PM CT at:

My Thoughts

My Thoughts

I often use the term “to many” which in to many cases an unrealistic number is inserted making the statement absurd. When I use the term “to many” the number could be as high as 99% as in the case of Republicans following the racist agenda of John Boehner and blocking every bill the Democrats proposed to spur job creation and improve a slumping economy simply because the President is Black, or as low as one as in the case of young women throwing new born infants in garbage dumpsters because they do not know that they can drop them off at any hospital or fire station with no questions asked or embarrassing backlash.
The young women do not have to identify themselves and will not be charged with any crime whereas if they dropped an infant in a dumpster they would be charged with murder and the infants DNA would be used to find and convict them. On the other hand, John Boehner knows exactly what he's doing and why. He knows that if he uses his position as minority leader to block the Democrats efforts to improve the economy he will gain support from the racist segments of our society. The racist segments of our society has the ability to draw in non racist and snowball to the point of convincing themselves and others that Obama is responsible for the problems inherited from Bush and fixes blocked by John Boehner & company.
Not all Republicans are racist.
We need those Republicans that are not racist to stand up and vote their conscience.
We need Democrats to come out and vote to send a message to the Republican party that racism will not be tolerated.
We need Democrats to come out and vote to increase our majority so that President Obama's fixes will not be blocked by John Boehner & company.
We need people of all races to stand against racism and vote Democrat.

declining economic security

"But Obama said that, for a decade, middle-class families have experienced stagnant incomes and declining economic security whiletax breaks were given to companies that shifted jobs overseas and Wall Street firms reaped huge profits."
The statement by President Obama has been echoed time after time following the Republicans taking the country from a manufacturing base to a supply based economy. It's time to end the talk and take action. We need heavy sanctions against companies that shift jobs over seas and criminal and discrimination charges against high tech companies that shift their manufacturing, training, technical and support services over seas

The problem that I have with Third World Leaders is that they want all they can get by any means necessary and the hell with everyone else. Wyclef Jean does not seem to have this problem. Unlocked Cell Phones

(Washington, DC)  --  The practice of unlocking a cell phone to defect to another carrier has been ruled to be legal by the Federal Communications Commission.
Under copyright law, the agency says the controversial practice is within fair-use rules.
Apple has fought against "jailbreaking" its popular iPhone for some time, and says doing so will still void the manufacturer's warranty.
The FCC says users merely enhance their own enjoyment of ownership when doing so.
Under the ruling, owners can do so without the fear of legal repercussions.
