Tax Cuts

I see this as a win win for Democrats and the economy. The tax cuts will do very little for the individual , but will be seen as a tax increase caused by the Republican Party and a reduction in spending by the Democratic Party. Bottom line, a negligible physical impact on the deficit, but a huge political impact for the Republican Party. The Republican Party is making Obama look better and better. Go Republicans.

50 Facts

If when Barack Obama first took office the national debt was 10.6 trillion dollars and on a downward spiral as indicated by the 50 Facts, then Barack Obama has done a miraculous job of slowing down the downward spiral with just a 4.4 trillion dollar investment. After all, when Bush took office the national debt had a surplus of trillions of dollars. Is your memory and intelligence so short that you cannot see that Bush was laughing all the way to the bank while calling you and all his supporters suckers. Keep blaming Obama and put another Bush in office.

X-Factor 12-08-2011

The blame should be spread around to three of the four judges; L.A. Reid for not having the moral conviction to vote for the best, Nicole for being to much of a wimp to vote her choice, and Simon for allowing the songs that Rachel sang last night. Nicole wanted to vote for Rachel, but for some unknown reason she voted for Marcus. Simon made the decision before last night's performance that he wanted Melanie Amaro to win the X-Factor. Although I think Melanie Amaro is the best contestant on X-Factor, Rachel should not have been thrown under the bus. She is much more talented than Marcus. These are some of the reasons for my post last week. If X-Factor returns for a second season, the judges should only judge and not have any ties to the contestants.

X Factor Top 7 Results: An Astronomical Double Elimination "For the judges to pick songs for the contestants puts the judges in a position where they can influence the outcome of the contest. That should not be allowed. Simon rightfully took the blame for Drew's departure, but his lapse in judgement was minor when compared to Nicole and Paula Abdul's very very poor selection of songs. I hope that I'm only imagining that the poor song selections are intended to influence the outcome. The judges should take a step back and allow the contestants to choose a producer from a pool of producers. The producer picked by the contestant should have a vested interest in that contestant winning." 2 more replies chris replied, "American Idol is right around the corner........." As an American that happens to be an African-American that believes our democratic principles are best served by the Democratic party, I was proud to support Barrack Obama as our first African-American President. To fellow Democrats and especially to my African-American Brothers, it's time look at the facts. Barrack Obama has conceded at every turn and given the advantage to the Republicans. I have said over and over that Obama is a closet Republican. A Republican President could not have advanced the Republican agenda as effectively as Barrack Obama has. A Republican posing as a Democratic president would be able to swing enough votes from the Democrats to pass most Republican agendas.

Punked again

President Barack Obama just got punked again by Boehner. It appears as if Obama is either afraid to stand up and act like a President or he doesn't know that he is the President of the United States of America.

As am African American

As am African American, I was quick to jump on the band wagon in support of Barrack Obama. Now in hind sight, I see that we as black people should have reserved our energy for a black President that reflects our American values. Barrack Obama was raised in countries that do not respect individual freedoms or individuals and I believe that is why he is insensitive to individual freedoms. I support health care reform, but I strongly object to the mandate requiring individuals to purchase health insurance. It's an assault on our personal freedoms and constitutional guarantees.
As a democrat and an Afro-American that loves America, I support the republican challenge to the individual mandate and I applaud the appeals court that struck it down. That one gesture on the part of republicans is the only meaningful thing that they have done and will have to be followed by ways to improve the health care legislation.
Simply put, because the republicans have been missing in action, and if no democrat challenges Barrack Obama, I will reluctantly vote for him again.

Where do African Americans go from here?

We, African Americans, fought for White Americans freedom as well as our own and yet we still remain at the end of the line. Our legislators are continually writing legislation that pushes us so far back that the end of the line would be a big step forward. Our legislators are continually granting special privileges to special groups for political gain.
I was particularly disturbed by the special protections granted to gays for choosing to be gay and the special privileges given to them for same sex marriage. If you choose to be different, you should not be rewarded with special privileges. African Americans who were already at the end of the line have now been pushed back even further to make room for a pseudo group of people.
I have been a supporter of California Governor Jerry Brown since his first two term as governor. The bill under consideration in the legislature that would allow illegal immigrants to qualify for publicly funded scholarships should be dead on arrival. This bill would not only push African Americans further back, it would also push legal Mexican Americans who are only a step ahead of African Americans in line, further back. The ramifications of trying to be everything to everybody for political gain hurts those that can are already enduring more than their share of pain.

Presidential authority to raise the debt limit in the Constitution

I agree with Bill Clinton that President Obama has authority under the U,S. Constitution to raise the debt limit. Obama's attempts at trying to get the Republican party to agree to any plan to reduce the deficit is a mere courtesy. Rather than deal in good faith with President Obama and the Democratic party, the Republican party will continue to push and raise their demands until time runs out or they find a weakness that they can exploit. The question is: on August 2, will President Obama issue an executive order raising the debt limit?

Reaganomics

“Reagan did push through deep, across-the-board cuts in tax rates in his first year of the presidency in 1981, fulfilling a campaign promise."

BUT "the following year he signed the largest peace-time tax increase in U.S. history, the Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982.”

AND “he raised taxes in every succeeding year of his presidency except the last.”

ALSO “as California governor, Reagan also signed the biggest tax increase in state history.”

Obama is a closet Republican

Here's a new term, "Obama is a closet Republican." Although he was elected as a Democrat, he has given the Republicans everything a Republican President would have asked for and because he was elected as a Democrat, and he is an Afro-American, the Republican Party seized the opportunity to force reckless legislation and policies on the American people.

Ileana Ros-Lehtinen's war on Islam

Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the Republican chairwoman of the House committee has declared a personal war against Islam. I agree, US taxpayers should not be subsidizing groups that seek to undermine US policies, interests and it's allies, but the cuts should be unilateral. Since Israel is the cause of all the conflicts in the Middle East and is responsible for a huge drain on the U.S. Economy, all aid should be withheld from Israel until it reaches a peace agreement with it's neighbors.
In our quest for world peace, we need to change our priorities. All aid should be withheld from Pakistan and Israel and should instead be given to countries that have shown by democratic elections that they are democracies and only so long as they remain democracies.
Vision Industries Wins Order for 100 Fuel Cell Class 8 Heavy Trucks

EL SEGUNDO, CA--(Jul 18, 2011) - Vision Industries Corp. (OTCBB: VIIC) announces that it has received a Letter of Intent from Total Transportation Services, Inc. (TTSI) of Rancho Dominguez, California, to purchase one hundred zero emission Tyrano™ hydrogen fuel cell-electric class 8 heavy-duty trucks at a total purchase price of approximately $27,000,000 dollars. The purchase is subsequent to the successful trial of the initial vehicle which will be delivered to TTSI on Friday the 22nd of July. The Letter of Intent also opens the door for TTSI to purchase an additional three hundred Vision trucks, bringing the total value of a TTSI sales contract to approximately $108 million dollars.

"We are pleased to see such demand from a trucking company of TTSI's caliber. It underlines our assumptions that there are multiple commercial applications for our hydrogen powered zero emission big rigs in today's trucking industry," says Martin Schuermann, CEO of Vision Industries Corp.

To jumpstart the LOI, TTSI will take delivery of the first Vision Tyrano™ zero emission truck for testing in commercial revenue service. The initial truck will perform typical drayage operations, hauling freight containers from port terminals in the Ports of Los Angles and Long Beach to rail yards and other distribution facilities.

Progressive Change Campaign Committee

Bravo to the Members of Progressive Change Campaign Committee for standing up and letting Obama know that he cannot keep selling out his base.

Smaller Government???

When the local mom and pop pop sickle company only serviced the neighborhood, it could effectively hire and manage the Mom and Pop operation. But when sells grew and Mom and Pop opened more manufacturing sites, new departments had to be created and they had to hire managers to oversee the new sites and new departments. When Mom and Pop went national they had to hire regional employment specialist, management and supervisory personnel to oversee and hire managers and workers. When Farmer John sold a few plots of land to his friends and neighbors, it was just community. As the community grew and it became a town, the town required management, services and protection, and a governing board to oversee the management, services and protection. When the town grew and it became a city it needed more departments to service the residents such as transportation and health services. So in view of the real and constant need for a larger Government, the responsible point to make to the public would be to eliminate waste earmarks and corruption in government programs.
As a matter of courtesy to the American people, the Tea Party and the Republican Party should stop talking to us as if we were stupid enough to believe in their “smaller government” concept.

Parents of Obese Kids

Education and Counseling should be required of all parents of obese kids. and teachers should be required to report them to the proper authorities for treatment.
The parent should be counseled, educated and treated, and the child should be removed from the obese parents until they show that they care enough about the health of their kids by both completing a counseling course and getting their weight to within a medically healthy range.

Doom For The Democratic Party

In three years President Obama has turned back 40 years of gains of the of the poor and middle class. If the Democratic Party does not turn its back on Obama and support a strong presidential candicate in 2012, we will no longer have a voice as a political party.
The latest concession, putting cuts to Social Security and Medicare on the table spells doom for the Democratic Party.

Have You Heard Of Fuel Cells?

We came up with an alternative to the gasoline internal combustion engine, hydrogen fuel cells, hybrid hydrogen electric, and electric. The writing is on the wall. When we stop talking and complaining about oil and gasoline prices and start talking about fuel cells, electric and hybrid electric automobiles, the price of oil will drop. I predict that the price of gas will be under $2 a gallon within five years due to the increased availability and use of fuel cells.

Afghanistan

If I could say anything to General Petraeus and President Obama about Afghanistan, it would be, you cannot defeat the Taliban by giving weapons and support to a tyrant that aspires to lead the Taliban. The mistakes we are making in Afghanistan today are reminiscent of U.S. support for Fidel Castro's revolution in Cuba.

"do on to others as you would have them do unto you"

If African nations, including the African Union's rotating chairman Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema would stand up for and respect human rights, it would no longer be necessary for the International Community to step in to help the African People. African rulers have not learned the tenet of "do on to others as you would have them do unto you".

Health Benefits of Acetic Acid in Vinegar Supported By Research

While more research is needed, studies indicate this acidic substance reduces blood sugar in type 2 diabetics and reduces blood pressure, hunger & fat accumulation.
Researchers have uncovered a signaling mechanism that occurs within the excess abdominal fat of obese people and is associated with cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Fatty liver disease however, may be more likely the root cause of these metabolic disorders, an earlier study suggests.

While it may be too early to make vinegar a weight loss staple, the evidence is promising. A study published in the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry(1) found that vinegar helps prevent the accumulation of body fat.

Lab mice fed a high-fat diet along with acetic acid, gained significantly less body fat (up to 10 percent less) than mice fed a high fat diet without acetic acid. Researchers believe acetic acid turns on genes that produces proteins involved in breaking down fats, which in turn suppresses body fat accumulation.

Vinegar To Lower Blood Sugar, Increase Insulin Sensitivity
Several small sample studies showed that vinegar lowers glucose levels in the body and increases insulin sensitivity, issues of particular concern for people at risk for or managing, type 2 diabetes. Insulin sensitivity is the body’s ability to handle excess sugar after eating high glycemic index foods, foods that cause sharp spikes and drops in blood sugar. Insulin sensitivity is one measure of someone’s risk for heart disease; the more sensitive someone is, the lower their risk for heart problems.

Results from a study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition(2) found that vinegar lowered glucose and insulin levels in healthy subjects and increased their feeling of being full.

Vinegar and Blood Sugar
In a study published in Diabetes Care conducted by the Arizona State University’s Department of Nutrition(3), researchers divided 29 subjects into three groups: people diagnosed with type 2 diabetes; prediabetics; and healthy subjects. Each group consumed vinegar before eating a high carbohydrate test meal. Subjects in all three groups showed improved blood glucose levels and increased sensitivity to insulin compared to the control group who did not consume vinegar.

Researchers in the 2009 study, “Preliminary evidence that regular vinegar ingestion favorably influences hemoglobin A1c values in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus,(4)” compared the affect of the acetic acid found in vinegar, a dill pickle and a commercial vinegar pill on hemoglobin A1c in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Hemoglobin A1c is a measure of how much sugar has been around in the body for the preceding three months, a more accurate measure of sugar levels than the finger stick. Results showed Hemoglobin A1c values dropped with the vinegar but increased with the commercial vinegar pill and the dill pickle.

Apple Cider Vinegar to Reduce Blood Pressure
Gamma-aminobutryic acid (GABA), an inhibitory neurotransmitter involved in creating a state of focused calm, has been shown to also decrease blood pressure.(5,6). In a study conducted in Japan,(7) researchers measured the effect of adding GABA to vinegar on people with mild or moderate hypertension (high blood pressure).

After a pre-treatment period of two weeks, subjects with mild or moderate hypertension drank fermented drinking water with vinegar mixed with a flavoring base of fish flakes (dried bonito), with or without GABA added (in the form of sodium glutamate). Blood pressure rates dropped in both the GABA and the non-GABA groups, suggesting vinegar was the compound that lowered the subjects’ blood pressure.

Apple Cider Vinegar: What to Buy, Dosing, Warnings
Dr. Mercola, a physician, health and nutritional expert, suggests in his article, “Apple Cider Vinegar: Healing Wonder or Hype,” that people use apple cider vinegar, and in the form that is murky and brown. “Organic, unfiltered and unprocessed apple cider vinegar has a tiny, cobweb-like substance floating in it, called the “mother,” which indicates good quality," Dr. Mercola explains. "Since the benefits of the apple cider vinegar are still being studied, there is no clear-cut guide on how to take it.” One or two tablespoons before a meal is generally the reccomended dose.

Dr. Mercola warns that because apple cider vinegar is extremely acidic to dilute it with water or juice. Straight cider ingested over time can harm tooth enamel or the tissues of the mouth and throat. An excess can also lead to low potassium levels and lower bone density.

While more research needs to be done on the health benefits, dosing and long term effects of vinegar, studies suggest the acetic acid in vinegar can lower fat accumulation, reduce blood pressure, hunger and glucose levels and increase insulin sensitivity, issues of importance to pre-diabetics and people with type 2 diabetes.

11 things you should buy organic

By now, we all know there’s a benefit to buying some stuff organic. But these days you’re faced with the option of getting everything organic—from fruits and veggies to mattresses and clothing. You want to do right by your body, for sure, but going the all-natural route en masse can be pricey.

So we wondered: What’s really essential for our health? That’s why we came up with this definitive list. Here's what should be in your cart—and what you don’t have to worry about.

Beef
You’ve probably read plenty of stories about the risks of eating chicken. But the most important protein to buy organic may well be beef. "Research suggests a strong connection between some of the hormones given to cattle and cancer in humans, particularly breast cancer," says Samuel Epstein, MD, professor emeritus of environmental and occupational medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health. Specifically, the concern is that the estrogen-like agents used on cattle could increase your cancer risk, adds Ted Schettler, MD, science director at the Science and Environmental Health Network.

Though there are strong regulations about the use of hormones in cattle, "not all beef producers are following those regulations strictly, and some studies continue to find hormone residue in cattle," Dr. Schettler says. When you buy beef that’s been certified organic by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), you’re not only cutting out those hormones, you’re also avoiding the massive doses of antibiotics cows typically receive, which the USDA says may lead to the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in people.

Health.com: 10 types of food that can make you sick

Strawberries
Strawberries may be a superfood—but they pose a potential risk unless you go organic. In addition to having up to 13 pesticides detected on the fruit, according to an Environmental Working Group (EWG) analysis, conventional "strawberries have a large surface area and all those tiny bumps, which makes the pesticides hard to wash off, so you’re ingesting more of those chemicals," explains Marion Nestle, PhD, a professor of nutrition and public health at New York University and author of What to Eat.

If you can, also skip conventional peaches, apples, blueberries, and cherries, which are typically treated with multiple pesticides and usually eaten skins-on.

Cookware
Your pots and pans are just as crucial to upgrade as the food you cook in them: "Most nonstick cookware contains a fluorochemical called PTFE that breaks down to form toxic fumes when overheated," says Olga Naidenko, PhD, a senior scientist at the EWG. "Those fumes can coat the inside of the lungs and cause allergy-like symptoms."

Tests commissioned by the EWG showed that in just two to five minutes on a conventional stove top, cookware coated with nonstick surfaces could exceed temperatures at which the coating emits toxic gases. Switch to stainless steel, ceramic, or cast iron cookware.

Health.com: 11 kitchen tools that keep you thin

Popcorn
The linings of microwave-popcorn bags may contain a toxic chemical called perfluorooctanoic acid, or PFOA, which is used to prevent the food from sticking to the paper. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), PFOA is a likely carcinogen. "We don’t know all of the hazardous effects of PFOA yet, but we have some evidence of a link to cancer, as well as to effects on the immune, nervous, and endocrine systems," says David Carpenter, MD, director of the Institute for Health and the Environment at the University at Albany.

Pick up an air-popper or make your popcorn in a pan on the stove top.

Yard pesticides
Some lawn and garden pesticides contain suspected carcinogens, according to EPA data. Long-term pesticide exposure may be related to changes in the brain and nervous system, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center reports. "Not only are you breathing the chemicals in, but you bring them indoors and onto carpets via your shoes," says McKay Jenkins, PhD, a journalism professor at the University of Delaware and author of What’s Gotten Into Us?

Healthier brands like BurnOut and EcoClear are made from vinegar and lemon juice, and are effective weed-killers.

Heatlh.com: 10 dirty fruits and vegetables

All-purpose home cleaners
Time for spring-cleaning? Using common household cleaners may expose you to potentially harmful chemicals. Ammonia and chlorine bleach can irritate the skin, eyes, and respiratory tract. And some cleaners contain phthalates, some of which are endocrine disruptors, meaning they interfere with normal hormone activity, says EWG senior scientist Becky Sutton, PhD.

Although there’s no definitive proof that phthalates cause problems in humans, "the greatest concern is how early-life exposure will affect male [reproductive] development," Dr. Carpenter says. There’s weaker evidence, he adds, that phthalates affect the nervous and immune systems. Go natural with the cleaner you use the most frequently and in the most places, such as kitchen-counter spray—look for brands approved by Green Seal or EcoLogo, two organizations that identify products that have met environmental label guidelines.

Health.com: Green guide to cleaning

Water bottles
You’ve probably heard that many hard, reusable plastic water bottles could be bad for you because they may contain BPA, or bisphenol A, another endocrine disruptor according to the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.

"For adults, the biggest concern with BPA is that it may increase the risk of breast cancer in women and reduce sperm counts in men," says Dr. Carpenter, who explains that BPA can leach out into the water in the bottle. To be safe, sip from an unlined stainless steel or BPA-free plastic bottle.

Food-storage containers
BPA strikes again: Many food-storage containers are made of the hard, clear polycarbonate plastic that may contain BPA. As is the case with water bottles, the BPA can leach out of the plastic in these containers and seep into your leftovers.

Health.com: Studies report more harmful effects from BPA

"The leaching is increased during heating, but it also leaches to a smaller degree even when cold foods are stored," Dr. Carpenter explains. Glass containers are your safest—not to mention planet-friendly—bet. Both Rubbermaid (at left) and Pyrex make glass ones with BPA-free plastic lids.

Milk
The milk you’re drinking may not be doing your body good: Dairy products account for a reported 60 to 70 percent of the estrogens we consume through our food. If that seems like a shockingly large number, it’s mainly because milk naturally contains hormones passed along from cows. What worries some experts is that about 17% of dairy cows are treated with the hormone rBST (or rBGH), which stimulates milk production by increasing circulating levels of another hormone called insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1).

"Elevated levels of IGF-1 in people are associated with an increased risk of cancer, including breast cancer," Dr. Schettler explains. In fact, the use of rBGH is banned in Europe and Canada. Although research has yet to definitively conclude whether drinking rBGH-treated milk increases your IGF-1 levels high enough to cause concern, Dr. Schettler says it’s advisable to buy milk that hasn’t been treated with it. So pick up milk that’s labeled rBGH-free, rBST-free, or is produced without artificial hormones.

Health.com: 11 healthy milk shakes and smoothies

Celery
When researchers at the EWG analyzed 89,000 produce-pesticide tests to determine the most contaminated fruits and vegetables, celery topped the chart. "In terms of the sheer number of chemicals, it was the worst," says Sonya Lunder, senior analyst at the EWG. Celery stalks are very porous, so they retain the pesticides they’re sprayed with—up to 13 of them, according to the EWG analysis. Lunder also advises buying organic bell peppers, spinach and potatoes because they scored high for pesticides, as well.

Tomato sauce
When picking up tomato sauce or paste, choose the glass jar or box over the can. "The lining on the inside of food cans that’s used to protect against corrosion and bacteria may contain BPA," explains Cheryl Lyn Walker, PhD, a professor of carcinogenesis at MD Anderson Cancer Center and past president of the Society of Toxicology.

In 2009, Consumer Reports tested BPA levels in a variety of canned foods and found it in nearly all of the brands tested, suggesting that the chemical leaked in. "What can happen is that BPA in the lining can leach into the food," Walker explains.

This is not science fiction, it's science fact.

300 miles on a fuel cell the size of a AAA battery or 20 gallons of gasoline, which do you prefer? The technology is available now in hydrogen fueled automobiles. Would you prefer to buy a small unit that you can store in a corner of your garage for a few hundred dollars, or pay 100 plus dollars per month for utility bills? That technology is also available now.
It's time to talk to your congressional leaders to let them know that you want to be free from the oil and gas industries. Tell them that you are tired of being a slave to Middle East oil and terrorist states and that hydrogen fuel cells and hydrogen powered automobiles is the best alternative energy and is available today.
This is not science fiction, it's science fact.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constisution : Please Read Date: Wed, 23 Mar 2011 16:51:00 -0700 (PDT)

PLEASE READ BELOW

No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and only get 50% of their pay. While politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive full pay retirement after serving one term. It just does not make any sense.

Monday on Fox news they learned that the staffers of Congress family members are exempt from having to pay back student loans. This will get national attention if other news networks will broadcast it. When you add this to the below, just where will all of it stop?
35 States file lawsuit against the Federal Government

Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention.

This will take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass it on.

This is an idea that we should address.

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform... in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.

If each person that receives this will forward it on to 20 people, in three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message.. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States ."
You are one of my 20.

Speak Now Or ...

Lobbyist for nuclear power and oil have convinced us that their products are the only way to meet our energy needs. The nuclear and oil industries continually bombard us with false and misleading information to blind us of the safe and clean energy available today.
A very small step in making clean and safe energy available is to hold the oil and nuclear industries accountable for the damage to our health and environment. When radiation drifts from the reactors in Chernobyl and Japan and the U.S., all affected people regardless of their country of residence should have cause of action against the owners and operators of those reactors.
If the oil industry were made to cover the medical cost of breathing and other health problems it is causing, they would be more willing to invest in the hydrogen highway infrastructure.

Libya

The bottom line in all of the comments is race. We can send our troops to liberate a predominately white country, but we refuse to help the African countries that have been begging for decades for help. Our elected officials continually play the race card in their dealings with Africa.

Facebook's third finger

Facebook gave the third finger to all of it's supporters with it's "private IPO."

Troops on the ground

Even with a black president, we cannot get around racist policy's when dealing with Africa. We will send African American troops to liberate predominantly white countries, but we refuse to commit any troops to liberate predominantly black countries.

TIPS ON PUMPING GAS

I don't know what you guys are paying for gasoline.... but here in California we are paying up to $3.75 to $4.10 per gallon. My line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are some tricks to get more of your money's worth for every gallon:
Here at the Kinder Morgan Pipeline where I work in San Jose, CA we deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period thru the pipeline.. One day is diesel the next day is jet fuel, and gasoline, regular and premium grades. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 gallons.
Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening....your gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role.
A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.
When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode. If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. You should be pumping on low mode, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.
One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL. The reason for this is the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon is actually the exact amount.
Another reminder, if there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up; most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.
To have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. It's really simple to do.
I'm sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)...and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers !!!!!!! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted!
If It goes one level further, you guessed it..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!
Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. How long would it take?

Barbour defends comments on race

Barbour defends comments on race, but is the damage done to his potential 2012 bid?
By Holly Bailey

To make matters worse, Politico's Ben Smith dug up a quote from a Barbour profile in the New York Times from 1982 in which Barbour warned an aide about making racist remarks with a questionable statement of his own. According to the Times, Barbour "warned that if the aide persisted in racist remarks, he would be reincarnated as a watermelon and placed at the mercy of blacks."

Gov Barber has supported legislation guaranteeing Mexican labor more pay than American workers doing the same job. He has also supported the denial of unemployment compensation to farm workers and has shown a propensity for vetoing any legislation that he thinks will help Afro-Americans even at the expense of the white majority.

Is Remorse a Legal Entity

Most people do not wear their feelings on their sleeves. The idea that some one most show remorse to be remorseful was conceived by idiots and should not be a consideration in any legal disposition..
Jordan Brown, was just 11 at the time of his alleged crime, to young to fully grasp the concept of remorse. Now add to that the elapsed time between the crime and the demand by the idiots that he show remorse. If he is in the minority and shows remorse, then how long should he show it and how should he show it. Is their a standard for judging remorse, if not why?

Wall Streeters want what Fannie's having

I posted this information a few months back. Bank of America brought Country Wide and is sitting on an enormous amount of property waiting for exactly what the author of this article is saying. Their is Billions of dollars in bundling loans and the big banks are trying to get a larger share at Fannie Mae's expense.

6.) Wall Streeters want what Fannie's having -- "Wells Fargo and some other large banks would like private companies, perhaps even themselves, to become the new housing finance giants helping to bundle individual mortgages into securities — that would be stamped with a government guarantee," reports the New York Times. Some big pigs have lined up at the federal trough: Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse have all publicly met with Treasury officials in hopes of being able to do what private student loan companies no longer can. While the Treasury has remained quiet about its plans, former Treasury undersecretary and Rubin protege Michael S. Barr has called it a bad move. “I don’t think that private shareholder-owned entities should issue federal government guarantees,” Barr said. “I think that creates the same conflict we had in the past.” You know something's up when a Rubinite speaks out against giving special treatment to Wall Street.

Just The Facts

It would seem that the Japanese are reading my post. I attempted to forward a nearly identical plan to President Obama to include in the proposed Stimulus Program.

Japanese Companies to Build 100 Hydrogen Stations by 2015

A group of Japanese oil, gas and car companies have committed to put in place the infrastructure needed to run hydrogen fuel cell vehicles by 2015; fuel cell cars are intended for commercialisation by a number of automakers, including Toyota, Nissan and Honda within that timeframe.

JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corp, Idemitsu Kosan Co and Tokyo Gas Co. are working alongside the automakers in the scheme and intend to begin negotiations with regional governments to develop infrastructure in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka by 2015.
